New Year New Sports/Activities?

Are you looking to return to sport or to start a new form of exercise/activity as part of your New Year New You plans? It is not uncommon that with the enthusiasm of starting new activities and sport people overdo it causing injury or general aches and pains having done a bit too much too soon.

Please don't ignore any injuries, pulled muscles or the onset of pain or tightness. If you feel you may have pulled or strained a muscle there are a number of different reasons why muscles can be injured including poor management, trauma, overuse amongst others. When the muscle is overloaded it is then referred to as a strain. If you feel you may have injured a joint or muscle or you have back or neck pain best thing to do is to visit a qualified professional first and foremost, early detection and intervention can save so many problems further down the line.

There are many ways of managing injury or improving symptoms. If you require any advice please contact us as we offer a variety of assessment and treatment options including physiotherapy, acupuncture and sports/deep tissue massage. You don't have to be an athlete or to play a lot of sport to benefit from having sports/deep tissue massages. Sports(Deep Tissue) massage acts to :-

  • Release muscle spasms/ cramp
  • Reduce pain/discomfort/stiffness
  • Promotes general relaxation
  • Shortens Injury time/prevents re-injury
  • Increases flexibility/strength
  • Encourage focus/improve performance

So if you need any help with achieving your goals we are here to help so please contact us and we hope to see you soon!
